Cedar Rapids man was arrested Thursday after allegedly hiding drugs on a popular candy.
Rhett Alan Jolliffe, 32, was charged with possession of lysergic acid diethylamide, or LSD, from a Sept. 12, 2009, traffic stop in which he was stopped for suspected drunken driving, the Johnson County Sheriff's Office said.
According to the arrest report, Jolliffe was pulled over at Highway 1 and Hawk Ridge and was found to have a foil wrapped package inside a cigarette box. Inside the foil package were 10 pink PEZ candies, which were later found to have drops of LSD on them, police said.
Jolliffe admitted to buying 12 hits of LSD when he drove to Iowa City and took two of them, the report said. The state crime lab determined that the candy had LSD on them, police said.
Jolliffe remained in the Johnson County Jail on a $10,000 cash only bond. If convicted of the Class B felony, he faces up to 25 years in prison.
